Century Cinemas Celebrates National Popcorn Day with €6 Bring Your Own Bucket Popcorn Deal

Century Cinemas is celebrating National Popcorn Day with a fun, one-night-only Bring Your Own Bucket (BYOBucket) popcorn event taking place on Monday, 19th January, from 4pm to 9pm.

For a fixed price of €6, popcorn fans are invited to bring along their own clean, food-safe container and have it filled with popcorn, with the volume based on whatever fits inside their bucket, up to a maximum equivalent of two large popcorns. From novelty popcorn tubs and collectible buckets to mixing bowls and oversized containers such as the 10-litre mayonnaise bucket featured in the campaign, customers are encouraged to get creative and turn National Popcorn Day into an experience but leave the wheelie bins and wheelbarrows at home. Limits, terms and conditions apply!

Speaking about the promotion, Chantelle Grant, General Manager of Century Complex said, “National Popcorn Day is the perfect excuse to have a bit of fun with our customers. We’re expecting to see some brilliant buckets on the night.”

The BYOBucket promotion runs Monday 19th January only, from 4pm to 9pm, at Century Cinemas, Letterkenny and is subject to popcorn availability.



BYOBucket (Bring Your Own Bucket) 2026 – Terms & Conditions

  • Customers may bring their own container (“bucket”) and receive popcorn equivalent to a maximum volume of two large popcorns for a fixed price of €6.
  • This promotion is valid Monday 19th January 2026 only at Century Cinemas, Letterkenny.
  • The maximum popcorn allowance per container is strictly capped at the volume of two large popcorns.
  • Any container exceeding this volume will only be filled up to the equivalent of two large popcorns. No container will be filled beyond this limit under any circumstances.
  • Customers are responsible for ensuring their container is suitable for food use. Century Cinemas reserves the right to refuse any container deemed unsafe, unsuitable, or unhygienic. Staff will refuse any container that appears dirty, greasy, wet, or contaminated.
  • Containers must:
    • ◦ Be clean, dry, and food-safe
    • ◦ Be able to fit safely on the popcorn counter
    • ◦ Be capable of being carried by the customer safely
  • Containers must not:
    • ◦ Be industrial, commercial or construction-grade containers
    • ◦ Be trolleys, wheelbarrows, crates, bins, boxes, suitcases or coolers
    • ◦ Require staff to lift, tip, balance or hold while filling
  • One BYOBucket offer per customer per transaction.
  • Once filled, containers are not eligible for refills, top-ups, or exchanges.
  • Spillage, settling or compression of popcorn does not qualify for additional popcorn.
  • Century Cinemas staff have full discretion to:
    • ◦ Measure volume against standard large popcorn containers
    • ◦ Refuse unsuitable containers
    • ◦ Enforce volume limits
    • ◦ Decline service if customers become abusive or argumentative
  • Staff decisions are final.
  • Cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion, discount, voucher or reward.
  • Subject to popcorn availability, while stocks last.
  • Century Cinemas reserves the right to amend or withdraw this promotion at any time without prior notice.
